Welcome to Stephen Day Design

The past year has been a very exciting time around here. 2008 saw the realization of my largest sculptural work to date - an animated, fiber-optic lighting installation at the new Perforce Software headquarters in Alameda, Ca. Please click on the images below for more.

Lots of residential work this past year as well. For this penthouse remodel in the shadow of San Francisco's Transamerica Pyramid, every room [and closet, and roof deck...] featured something by SDD - from shelving to vanities, planter boxes to workstations, and more...

Environmental responsibility continues to be an important focus of our studio. This Quarter-sawn White Oak and Merbau audio cabinet, like many of our products, is made from Forest Stewardship Council certified lumber sealed with a hand-rubbed oil finish.

Innovative materials and processes - we've got that too! Poured resins, scorching, pickliing, inlays.
